After The Rain by Emma Shah

There was a time I ran a playhouse. Painted the walls myself, filled the shelves with wooden toys and books with textures. We called it Carrot Patch . Children laughed there. Parents lingered. It was real. And then, it rained. Not just outside. But everywhere...In life. The world paused, and so did I. Since then, I’ve sold rainbow sensory kits from my living room floor. Taught English with a baby on my lap. Sold mango drinks by the beach with my son charming customers. I’ve written resumes for mothers who lost confidence. Created tools to help children with special needs. Shared parenting advice with strangers who felt like little sisters. I’ve even taught people how to say “th” without shame. But I never told anyone all of this in one place. Until now. Welcome to After the Rain — a quiet, heartfelt corner of the internet. Here, I’ll share: gentle English tips for real life (no pressure, no pretence) parenting & play ideas (sensory-friendly, neurodiverse-aware)...
